The inaugural season of The New Theatre Project will present plays that ask the essential question, “Who am I?” As artists, this question is of utmost importance and as young artists, a question that may have many answers. The characters in the stories we will present seek answers in many places, some that we are able to relate to and others in which we may violently disagree. The discourse that results is essential.

We are also interested in this question of identity because we are a new company. Shaping our identity is essential to our survival. We must find a voice, an audience, an artistic community. Season 1: Identity will help us to achieve this goal.
