Play Submissions

Script Submissions

We’re always accepting new script submissions of unproduced materials. All scripts should be sent to keith@thenewtheatreproject.org. Please include a brief synopsis and thorough character breakdown including any possible doubling. We will do our best to respond to all submissions within four months.

Play Commissions

Additionally, we will consider in depth proposals for a theatre piece that an artist or artists would like to create with physical and monetary support from the ensemble. The most detailed proposals will receive the most attention. Please include what the project is about, why the project is important, and how you will accomplish the project.

Green Commitment

It is important in today’s world to consider our impact on the globe in every aspect of our lives. Theatre production should not escape this. Theatre is inherently a high energy consumer. Our goal is to produce theatre that is vital enough to warrant the energy that we will consume. We will do our best to recycle all elements of the production. Also, The New Theatre Project does not accept mailed, paper script submissions and commissions. All requests and inquiries should be emailed to keith@thenewtheatreproject.org.
